    The AHL Investment and Data Implementation (IDI) team is organised into small cross-functional teams, spanning Hong Kong and London, with responsibilities for the implementation of all AHL new business (Funds, Investment strategies, new asset classes, new markets, etc.), the integrity of the inputs (data) and outputs (model signals) from the systematic models and long-term strategic development of our systematic trading platforms and processes.

    IDI work closely with Portfolio Managers, Research, Trading, Technology, Risk, and external counterparts to ensure the smooth running of the end-to-end trading process, testing and implementation of portfolio research changes across a variety of research and strategic platform initiatives.

    To achieve this efficiently and effectively, IDI leverages both the varied background of its members, including Computer Science, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Engineering, Business Management and Finance, plus a combination of an extensive relationship network spanning across all of Man Group (Not just within AHL), empirical analysis, Technology (namely Python and SQL), creativity, project management skills and critical thinking.

    The Role

    IDI are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong communication skills, domain knowledge and the ability to steer and influence across all teams and levels of the business. IDI analysts are responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of the AHL systematic trading system and models, the accurate implementation of all new business initiatives, new research ideas and risk management parameters along with the coordination of an array of stakeholders and projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Implement change with a consistently high attention to detail and consideration for potential impact
    • Detect, diagnosing and resolve issues with AHL trading models and the systematic trading system
    • Work with peers across AHL to define and deliver towards resilient operating models and robust business process
    • Use data analytics (Preferably in Python) to visually represent structured and unstructured data related to the trading system
    • Design, implement and then support the architecture of our trading environment, including data aggregation, position management, component monitoring and quantitative implementation
    • Collaborate with technology teams across Man Group to design and steer strategic developments across various platforms
    • Leverage technology to enhance, automate and streamline daily investment management processes
    • Support the ongoing drive for integrity of data used by the quantitative research teams and the production trading algorithms
    • Monitor and implement regulatory and compliance related restrictions
    • Ensure the timely implementation of AHL funds rebalancing, strategy re-allocation and coordinate and implement of new business initiatives
    • Develop a thorough understanding of the complex systems and interactions, including the ability to sort through dynamic datasets to analyse key indicators, find potential errors and measure outliers
