We are looking for a Junior Quant whose responsibilities will include:
- Leverage the EA platform to produce powerful insights for PM and traders to help understand and reduce trading impact and improve capacity
- Research and prototype new analytics and tools to improve the EA platform
- Ensure the EA platform is accurate, stable, and operational fit for purpose
- Partner with technologists to deploy new analytics and optimise existing ones
- Generate standardised analytics to support Execution Oversight and assist Sales drive
- Assist colleagues across the firm to get the most out of the EA platform
- Act as a subject matter expert on execution specific data
- Model transaction cost across all asset classes
- Maximise automation, scalability, and standardisation of analytics across areas like: experimentation, algo performance measurement, execution automation, MI
Technology and Business Skills

Essential
- Ability to think creatively to come up with and implement original research and ideas
- Exceptional analytical skills; ability to deliver end-to-end
- A solid understanding of statistics and an ability to apply it to real world problems
- Expertise in a high-level programming language such as Python, or R
- Experience of handling large data sets and tick data
- Experience with visualisation tools and libraries
Advantageous
- 2+ years’ experience in an analytics focused role
- Understanding of financial products and market microstructure

- Strong academic record and a degree with high mathematical and computing content e.g. business analytics, computer science, mathematics or engineering from a leading university
- Hands-on attitude; willing to get involved with technology and projects across the firm
- Intellectually robust with a keenly analytic approach to problem solving
- Self-organised with the ability to effectively manage time across multiple projects and with competing business demands and priorities
- Possessing a continuous improvement mindset; always looking to improve the platform and processes
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to establish and maintain a close working relationship with quantitative researchers, technologist, traders and senior business people alike
- Confident communicator, able to argue a point concisely and deal positively with conflicting views
