The Recruitment and Admissions (R&A) department provides a seamless service to potential students from first enquiry through to enrolment for all modes and levels of courses. We are responsible for delivering a range of support services to enquirers, applicants, staff and external stakeholders. We operate a high volume quality recruitment and admissions service, annually communicating with around 100,000 university enquirers and applicants through our recruitment campaigns.

We manage 40,000 visitors visiting our campuses and deliver over 800 events off campus. We are also responsible for all aspects of offer making and offer communications for over 100,000 applications per year. Quality information, advice and guidance is at the heart of what we deliver, enabling students to make informed choices about going to Higher Education and Manchester Metropolitan University.

We are looking for a Recruitment and Admissions Data Insight Assistant to work within the team to support and inform Manchester Metropolitan University's Recruitment and Admissions strategy. You will do this through the delivery of a range of data and analysis to support both the assessment and achievement of the University's recruitment targets.

About the role

You will provide regular and bespoke data, statistical reports and analysis in order to build a better understanding of those engaged across the student lifecycle. You will ensure the evidence of impact is available to feed into internal and external reports.

You will support the Data Insight Manager in carrying out analysis of data to produce statistical information and produce both operational and bespoke reports. Analysis will be undertaken on both enquiry, applicant, market and compliance data to ensure data driven responses to recruitment trends.

About you

You should have an ability to analyse complex data and be able to communicate findings in a coherent and engaging manner to a variety of audiences. You will also:

  • Have experience of analysing and interpreting statistical information from a variety of sources
  • Be an advanced user of Microsoft Excel with experience of filtering, pivot tables, lookup functions, charts, formulas, and conditional formatting to analyse data, generate reports and present information.
  • Be able to follow comprehensive, multi-step guidance without issue
  • Have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail and be able to understand the implications of data protection on area of work
