Working for Marsh Advisory, you have the exciting opportunity to help build our fast-growing business by engaging with clients in just about every industry all around the world, either directly or in support of the broking business. You’ll help to develop and deliver innovative solutions beyond the buying of insurance, including enhancing risk management approaches, handling complex claims and using data-driven analysis to inform a client’s insurance strategy.

What you can expect

We have four main business units – Consulting, Analytics, Claims and Captive Solutions. We are offering graduate tracks in the following areas:

• Consulting (London & Manchester)
• Strategic Risk Consulting - helping clients to identify, quantify and manage their strategic risk and insurance challenges (e.g. ESG/climate and cyber), and support them in improving their resiliency for when things go wrong.
• Operational Risk Consulting - delivering risk management services to enable optimum placement of insurance and to minimise risk exposure including: property risk engineering, motor fleet risk management and health & safety.
• Claims - Major/Complex Loss (London only) supporting clients when disaster strikes, ensuring the insurance policy operates correctly and our clients obtain the settlement they are due.
• Captives (London only) - advising clients on suitable risk financing mechanisms, enabling  companies to insure themselves against future losses to an appropriate level.

You can gain exposure to projects in other areas of the business through optional rotations across Advisory e.g. in Consulting, Analytics, Claims, Captives, Sales, Digital & Innovation, and the Financial Solutions Group.

During the two year programme, we offer you the chance to rapidly develop professionally and personally, working side-by-side with our business leaders and learning on the job. In addition you will have access to the guidance, support and training to enable you to achieve your short-term and long-term career goals.

We will support you to undertake qualifications relevant to your role: ACII for Consulting and Captives, and ACILA for Claims.

What you need

• Hold, or on track to achieve, a 2:1 or higher in your degree
  • For Strategic Risk Consulting and Captives: all degree backgrounds considered
  • For Operational Risk Consulting: engineering, law or health and safety is preferred
  • For Claims Solutions (prep): an engineering or surveying degree is preferred
• Be inquisitive and curious, enjoy thinking strategically and have strong analytical skills
• An ability to work in teams and cultivate relationships
• Be eligible to work in the UK or Republic of Ireland (no visa sponsorship provided)

• Previous work experience in any of the following areas: risk management, insurance, engineering, law, claims, health and safety, construction, analytics
