The role

Despite dynamic market conditions and tough challenges thrown at our industry throughout the pandemic, we are resilient and aggressively developing business, managing clients and increasing our market share and revenues.

We are seeking a Junior Account Handler to work in our Marine Cargo team dealing with insurance instructions for brokers, managing transactions for large and complex international clients from a great variety of industries.

The Account Handler will manage the administration and organisation within a highly skilled team that specialises in managing a portfolio of existing cargo accounts.

What can you expect

  • Assist with performing basic clerical functions, including but not limited to word processing and filing to assist Advisory colleagues.
  • Assist in the creation of presentations and program submission, including coverage specifications, in collaboration with Advisory and Broking colleagues.
  • Assist with monitoring the renewal and binder control system to ensure things are progressing according to schedule.
  • Maintain ongoing relationship with team colleagues to effectively service clients and assist the Advisory colleague.
  • Understand and complies with compliance and transparency standards.

We will rely on you to

  • To work with an existing book of marine cargo clients in order to provide a smooth account handling service
  • Support clients with their diverse range of queries within a full cycle of insurance
  • To produce and maintain accurate and complete documentation in a compliant manner
  • Respond to all queries in a timely, positive and professional manner.
  • To build and maintain an excellent rapport with our clients, providers and colleagues across the Group.
  • To suggest opportunities to help generate business within our existing book of clients.

What you need to have:

  • We are keeping a very open-mind and will consider graduates, school leavers, junior account handlers, junior administrators and any other candidates from an entry level career point
  • Keen to learn about insurance and with ideally an interest in marine insurance products and services
