    Job Description

    This is a 24-month rotational programme, broken between distinct learning streams. The successful hire will have the opportunity to work across multiple teams in a highly automated and volume-driven environment and develop a wide range of technical skills including SQL. 

    Teams include: 

    Fund Accounting 

    The Fund Accounting team utilise propriety systems to value around 120 funds daily. The team is integral to supporting the full lifecycle of a fund from an idea to execution and key responsibilities include pricing & valuations, broker & administrator reconciliations, shareholder flows, and performance & management fees. 

    Operations 

    Directly supporting the portfolio management and trading systems, you will have the opportunity to build expertise across a breadth of markets and financial instruments. Some of the key responsibilities include trade support, stock loan, operational risk management and asset servicing.  

    Treasury 

    The Treasury team is responsible for understanding, monitoring and managing the firm's liquidity needs, collateral, FX rate risk and counterparty exposures. You will have the opportunity to help build and establish a best-in-class treasury function. 

    Responsibilities  

    Day to day responsibilities will vary from team to team. However, previous graduate projects have included:  

    • Automating fund audit reconciliations utilising python and SQL 
    • BI reporting on key operational metrics 
    • Broker onboarding  

    In addition, we expect all graduates at Marshall Wace to: 

    • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplined teams and build relationships with business users and stakeholders  
    • Deliver on a variety of projects with guidance from more senior members of the team  
    • Proactively learn about the business and sector of Marshall Wace
