    The role

    The Mastercard Summer Internship Program is a comprehensive program where students will gain hands on real work-life skills while having fun and contributing to a global company. As an intern, you will be challenged with completing projects that will enhance your skills as well as contribute to the department’s goals and objectives.

    Across the summer, you’ll jump into experiencing work & life at Mastercard whilst gaining valuable professional experience and the opportunity to network.     What you’ll do

    Mastercard software engineering teams are obsessed with security, reliability, and performance and driven to deliver solutions that delight our customers. We are looking for talented software engineers to develop advanced technologies and applications that are revolutionizing payments.

    • A hands-on engineer who writes high-quality code with a focus on security, design, and maintainability.
    • Contribute to all phases of software development from design through rollout.
    • Have strong ownership of your team’s software including monitoring, dependencies, build, and deployments.

    What you’ll need

    • To be available to work Full-Time between 24th June – 30th August
    • To be a Penultimate Masters/Undergraduate Student, due to graduate no earlier than 2025
    • Studying Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
    • Experience using Python, Java, C#, JavaScript or similar
    • Innovative thinking and thoughtful risk-taking.
    • Ability to partner across the organization.
    • Sound communication skills.
