    Are you looking for UX Researcher internship in 2023?

    We are looking for a highly motivated individual to work with members of a cross-functional development team to help understand user needs, test design concepts, and improve user experience.

    As an intern, you will receive a combination of practical experience and training in a work environment that fosters and rewards cooperation, teamwork, learning, and fun.

    This internship will prepare you for a career at MathWorks, starting in our Engineering Development Group (EDG).

    Responsibilities

    After training on MathWorks development processes and tools, you will work with the User Experience team on projects to

    • Conduct user research, identify user pains, and study user workflows to impact strategy and product direction
    • Act as an advocate for our technical users
    • Execute a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods such as, but not limited to, user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and card sorting
    • Help the teams interpret and understand user feedback and provide recommendations for design considerations based on that feedback
    • Contribute to requirements and collaborate on design documents

    Minimum qualifications

    • Candidates must be pursuing a master's level or a PhD level degree in a technical discipline.

    Additional qualifications

    • Knowledge of user-centered design, UX research methods and collaboration tools (e.g., UserZoom, OptimalWorkshop, Morae, Miro)
    • Knowledge of a variety of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
    • Programming experience in any programming language (MATLAB, R, Python, C++, Java, JS, etc.)
    • 3 months full-time commitment
