    ISV are responsible for the proving software, hardware and systems in the latest Complex Weapons capabilities. This includes planning and documentations trials, conducting test activities in on-site laboratories and with off-site companies, and reporting and analysing data.

    You will be conducting these tasks across a wide range of trials activities:

    • Ground Trials: environmental testing, electro-magnetic compatibility testing, sub-system field trials
    • Firing Trials: qualification firings, customer demonstrations, de-risking and development firings
    • Flight Trials: environmental data-gathering, seeker data-gathering, datalink communications, functional air carriage, firing trial de-risking
    • Functional Integration: system compatibility, missile/launcher preparation, synthetic environment
    • In-Service Support: life monitoring & extension, supporting in-service firings, interacting with the customer

    You will likely have opportunities to travel throughout the UK and possibly internationally to support these activities.

    You will undertake four six-month placements over the 2 years, working in a variety of projects. There is an opportunity to undertake one six-month placement in another part of the company, potentially in one of MBDA's international offices. Alternatively, the placement could be external to MBDA with another defence supplier or with MoD.

    This role is suited to those that enjoy the creativity and practicality of working with problems to arrive at logical solutions.

    Systems Engineers work with people across all engineering fields and business teams, meeting suppliers and customers and engaging with international MBDA colleagues. There is also Opportunity to travel both within the UK and potentially internationally.

    We offer a wide support network of experienced engineers with support to work towards Chartership if desired (100% of fees paid during Early Careers Programme).

    Entry Criteria, Salary and Benefits

    • Degree qualified (minimum 2.2) in a STEM subject. 
    • £30,000 starting salary plus £3,000 joining bonus
