The role

McCann Leeds is looking for an energetic and passionate PR & Social Account Manager with a real passion for trends, newsworthy winning content and Social Media to join its rapidly growing team working across some great home and lifestyle brands. If successful, you’ll work with some of the most talented and experienced strategists, creatives, producers and writers in the industry.

Requirements

The role will involve campaign planning, creative ideation, delivery, measurement and tracking and day-to-day account management including, but not limited to:

  • Copywriting press releases, comments and features and understanding how to write for different audiences and media titles
  • Media relations – including handling enquiries, forward feature tracking, copycalls and regular sell-ins with key media both national and regional
  • Broader PR content creation – including content calendars; working with influencers; gifting/sample services; drafting website/social media copy; overseeing photography briefs/shoots
  • Social Media account management, ideation, reporting and proposals
  • Strong knowledge of Meta, TikTok, X and other social channels
  • Taking part in regular ideation sessions to come up with new ideas or suggestions or helping out on new business
  • PR & Social reporting and evaluation – including logging coverage, skey message and sentiment analysis, tracking web traffic/SEO data and producing regular reports
  • Managing status reports, work in progress and quality control to ensure work is delivered on time and is top quality
  • Running face-to-face or Teams calls with clients and internal staff ensuring actions are captured, providing status updates, presenting new plans and proposals and using your project management skills to deliver work within deadlines
  • Building great relationships and consultancy skills with clients and colleagues
  • Providing briefs for other departments / external service providers where required

You will be a confident communicator with a keen eye for detail and strong organisation skills. Good time management and a basic knowledge of the latest earned and social media channels are also a must.
