    About the role

    We are seeking an enthusiastic Communications Intern to join our Services team on a 10-week summer internship programme which will run between 27th June to 2nd September 2022.

    McCarthy Stone’s internship programme will provide you with the opportunity to gain first class industry experience while earning a competitive salary. Taking part in our intern programme will enable you to add practical experience to your CV and will ensure you have a deep understanding of our business, and how we operate.

    During the internship, you will be working on a project to organise our annual conference held in the Autumn with over 150 attendees.  You will also work on developing a set of communications materials including policies and document templates to standardise our approach to customer communications and ensure a consistent message.  Additionally, you will have the opportunity to be involved in understanding and measuring our customer satisfaction levels and supporting focus groups with our customers.

    Alongside your role, you will be part of a cohort of interns that will enable you to start building your professional network at McCarthy Stone. There will also be Learning and Development opportunities to get involved with throughout your internship with us including insight and skills sessions and ‘lunch and learns‘ on key business topics.

    About you

    Education and qualifications

    • Studying towards a degree in Communications, on target for a minimum of a 2:2 
    • 3 x A Levels
    • GCSE in Maths and English

    Personal attributes

    • Interested in a career in Communications
    • Organised and works well to deadlines.
    • Able to multitask and prioritise.
    • Communicates clearly, both written and verbally.
    • Shows a good level of attention to detail.
    • Works well within a team, but equally on their own.
    • Good at building working relationships
    • Has a flexible, positive and can-do attitude
    • Computer literate and has experience in Microsoft Office software.
