    As our Graduate Trainee in Construction, you will get exposure to the daily aspects of running a construction development site. We will support you to develop the core skills, behaviours, and technical ability to develop into an Assistant Site Manager or a similar role and will be investing in your future by providing mandatory training including CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid Certificate and Personal Development.

    About the role

    This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate ideally with a construction or engineering based degree looking to pursue a career in construction and make an impact. Your strengths will be the ability to manage multiple tasks, problem solve as well as the ability to build relationships with others as you will need to work effectively across teams.

    Working across sites in our Southern Division the Graduate Trainee, with support of the site management team, will gain knowledge and understanding to the programming of work and ensuring tasks are on track; the daily operation tasks will include compliance, quality control and health and safety checks.

    As you grow with experience you will get involved and take some accountability for aspects of material controls and site logistics. You will interact with every aspect of the house building process from colleagues, subcontractors, planners right through to local residents. Being on site gives daily challenges, a solution focused mindset, problem solver and the tenacity to get things done will ensure your success in this role.

    Person Specification

    • A Construction related or similar degree
    • Leadership or project management proven skills
    • Competent in Health and Safety practise
    • Good record keeping skills (most of our forms and procedures are computer based thus you must be IT literate and confident using CRM, planning software and Excel).
    • Excellent Customer Service Skills – ability to build and maintain effective working relationship/s
    • Must be organised and proactive.
    • To be successful in this role you must be able to prove eligibility to work in the UK and hold a full UK drivers’ licence. You will also be requested to provide copies of your qualifications.
