The Opportunity
The role of a data analyst can be defined as someone who has the knowledge and skills to turn raw data into information and insight, which can be used to make business decisions.
What will my accountabilities be?
- Ensuring that corporate data meets with regulatory and compliance standards and polices
- Ensuring that all data has a data owner, and that data retention aligns with corporate and regulatory standards
- Removing corrupted data and fixing coding errors and related problems Developing and maintaining databases, data systems reorganising data into a readable format
- Performing analysis and data expertise to other Technology functions to assess quality and meaning of data
- Using statistical tools to identify, analyse, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets that could be helpful for diagnosis and prediction
- Working with engineers and management heads to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies.
- Preparing stakeholder reports as required using latest data representation tools and techniques

- Ability to work with data to identify patterns
- Use sound judgement to form conclusions that may challenge conventional wisdom and focus on the crux of issues to identify high-leverage intervention points and strategies
- Ability to present and interpret information for audiences at all levels
- Seek to understand business needs and achieve results that have a clear, positive, and direct impact on business performance
- Apply different strategies to convince others to change their opinions or plans and ensure that proposals or arguments are supported by strong logic and a compelling business case, addressing all relevant factors
- Consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
- Deep skills and experience across a range of technical platforms (e.g. Microstrategy, Service Now, Tableau, Cognos)
