    The opportunity

    Hybrid Working

    This role is based in our East Finchley office working 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely.

    What are my accountabilities?

    • Support with project management to deliver relevant supply chain roadmaps that progress our Plan for Change goals, including but not limited to Climate, Sustainable Sourcing and Waste management.
    • Manage supply chain data reporting and analytics to progress our Plan for Change strategy, linking with other Departments at a Market and Global level e.g. sourcing, communications, legal, as well as food and packaging suppliers.
      • Co-ordinate the UK&I Net Zero Supplier Advisory Group meetings and manage progress and outputs.
      • Coordinate, collate and analyse accurate data and information to both internal and external stakeholders.
      • Assist with compiling evidence and data relevant to supply chain to communicate progress against our public commitments e.g. Plan for Change.
      • Support the Sustainable and Ethical Sourcing function with the co-ordination of internal meetings and supplier engagement to progress our Plan for Change goals.
      • Support with producing briefings and presentations for internal and external meetings and forums.
    • Sustainability and Ethical Sourcing:
      • Project manage the delivery of relevant supply chain projects to progress our Plan for Change goals, supporting the Head of Sustainable and Ethical Sourcing, Sustainability Manager, Agriculture Manager and Indirect Sustainability Manager to progress activity and demonstrate progress.
      • Collate and analyse supplier activity across our supply base for relevant projects and share best practice where relevant, through supplier forums.
      • Take ownership of Sustainability and Ethical Sourcing requirements within our internal supplier engagement process and monitor progress.
    • Waste:
      • Manage our Food Waste strategy, including measurement, reporting, risk and opportunities; continue to test solutions and progress our implementation plan.
    • Data Reporting and Analytics:
      • Coordination of data and evidence gathering to meet our Market and Global reporting requirements, in areas such as climate, energy and food waste, working closely with suppliers and colleagues in Global and Market Supply Chain and Impact.
      • Analyse data and work with external consultant to evaluate progress against supply chain Plan for Change goals, share trends, and demonstrate impacts of actions taken.
      • Ensure evidence for data is carefully managed and stored.
      • Identify, articulate and resolve data issues or limitations.
      • Coordinate data requests, liaising with key stakeholders to obtain latest data and related messages.
      • Prepare data reports to communicate information to aid decision making and demonstrate progress against supply chain Plan for Change goals.
    • Communications:
      • Review external information regularly and communicate appropriately, to stay current with changing environmental practices and legislation, working closely with Impact.
      • Working with Impact, support brand trust activity, in relation to campaigns and events that support our Plan for Change priorities.

    Who are my customers?

    You will develop close contact with internal stakeholders from other teams in Supply Chain, Impact and Legal (both Global and Market) and work with relevant Suppliers across supply chain.

    What team will I be a part?

    The role would be within the Agriculture and Sustainability team within our Supply Chain department.

    What background do I need to have?

    • Interest in sustainability and ethical sourcing topics, linked to supply chain.
    • Preferable degree or qualification in sustainability, environmental management or sustainable sourcing.
    • Project management experience.
    • Establish and maintain a useful network of professional contacts through external links with suppliers, agencies and other retailers.
    • Strong knowledge and working experience of using data gathering, analysis and reporting tools e.g. Excel.
    • Experience of data interrogation, trend analysis, validation and assurance.
    • Ability to analyse and interpret complex data and communicate clear information.
    • Ability to present to a wide range of audiences.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • Proven analytical skills.
    • A methodological and logical approach to tasks with the ability to plan work effectively to meet deadlines.
    • Ability to juggle multiple requests and activities at once
