    You will be based in our London office as part of our United Kingdom and Ireland recruiting team. Within this team, you will have a focus on creative best practices to recruit experienced professionals as generalist consultants in London and Dublin. You will also work closely with (international) recruiting colleagues throughout the firm and liaise with the wider human resources division with relation to recruiting and new joiners.

    What You'll Do

    You will contribute to driving forward the best practices in recruiting experienced professionals for McKinsey’s London office.

    You will participate in regular problem-solving and knowledge-sharing sessions. You will work as part of the London recruiting team, which covers graduate, MBA, experienced hire and practice recruitment to attract high-calibre individuals from a wide range of sectors. You will turn profile requirements into effective sourcing strategies using a combination of attraction events, social media campaigns, research and referrals to maintain McKinsey & Company’s presence among candidates. You will co-create and support online and off-line recruiting events including skills sessions, insight events, workshops, networking events and presentations, in addition to working on ad-hoc recruitment projects to build brand awareness.

    You will be an ambassador for the firm and serve as contact for candidates as they navigate the recruiting journey, ensuring each interviewed candidate receives individualized attention. You will be responsible for providing an exceptional candidate and stakeholder experience.

    In addition, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to projects both within the recruiting arena and in other areas you might be interested in across Europe and the global function.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
    • Experience recruiting across different industries/sectors and with direct sourcing is considered a plus
    • Collaborative team player who takes initiative and ownership to work independently to see projects through to completion
    • Ability to structure and prioritize own tasks and work well under pressure, with deadlines and in ambiguous situations
    • Exceptional organizational skills with a high capacity for detail, yet mindful of the bigger picture
    • Creative thinker and problem solver
    • Committed to representing the firm in a professional way in multiple forums, in person, on the phone or via email
    • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly; ability to tactfully and sensitively deal with different queries and situations
    • Strong computer and analytical skills; proficient with database management
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build strong working relationships with candidates, recruiting colleagues and consultants at all levels
    • Willingness to travel to major recruiting events as needed
