The role

We are recruiting for a Marketing Assistant to join our team based in Coalville. Reporting into the Market Executive, you will support to deliver the marketing strategy for Mediq Distribution Services and Mediq. In conjunction with our 4 main MDS sales channels, you will conduct market research to improve market segmentation, targeting and campaign success. Assisting with creating content for various marketing channels including email campaigns, social media and help maintain the marketing of our internal communications strategy on SharePoint

What are you going to do?

  • Support the Marketing Executive to deliver the marketing strategy for Mediq Distribution Services (MDS) and Mediq.
  • Assist in creating engaging content for various marketing channels, including social media, email campaigns, website and intranet (SharePoint).
  • Collaborate with both external and internal stakeholders to develop compelling copy and visual assets that align with brand guidelines.
  • Manage and schedule posts on social media platforms, such as LinkedIn, to ensure consistent and timely communication.
  • Monitor social media channels for mentions and engagement opportunities, and respond as needed.
  • Assist with trade show management, planning, and execution and any branding projects as required.
  • Assist with the supply and management of marketing assets such as branded merchandise, brochures, pop-up banners, and exhibition stands.
  • Use Adobe Creative Cloud design software to deliver required marketing materials for internal and external customers.
  • SharePoint plays an integral part in our internal communications strategy, you will help maintain the marketing of this site and create news articles that cover events, employee celebrations and updates from our Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
  • Support the execution of email marketing campaigns, including list segmentation, content creation, and performance analysis.
  • Maintain an email marketing calendar and assist in optimizing campaigns for better results.
  • Summarise findings and present actionable insights to the Marketing Executive.
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing campaigns.
  • Prepare regular reports on campaign performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Marketing Executive, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and maintaining files for budgetary and financial purposes.
  • Participate in sales, marketing and event meetings and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain close working relationships with our partner healthcare organisations and external suppliers such as design agencies, printers, stand builders and events companies.

What are we looking for

We are looking for a Marketing Assistant who has an understanding of online and offline marketing principles.

It would also be great if you have

  • A qualification in Marketing
  • Adobe Creative Cloud software e.g InDesign, Photoshop, AfterEffects, Illustrator
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Understanding of business to business sales environment
