Merck Summer Student Opportunity
We have a fantastic opportunity for students join our Merck Contract Testing Services business in the UK for 3 months over the summer. Students will work with Merck teams across different parts of the business, gaining meaningful industry experience.
Summer students will get the opportunity to undertake meaningful work whilst collaborating with Merck colleagues across various departments. The students will learn on the job, developing practical skills and personal competencies, building relationships with colleagues across our business.
Your Role
The internship is based within the Cell Biology team (Transmission Electron Microscopy and cytogenetics groups) within Merck BioReliance Services, Glasgow. During the placement you will be fully trained in providing scientific support in the conduct of routine GMP studies performed within a contract testing laboratory.
Duties of the role will include the performance of aspects of the routine GMP studies performed and supporting the performance of general housekeeping, equipment maintenance and stock control, to ensure the smooth running of the laboratories.
You will be required to work within the laboratory following Standard Operating Procedures and relevant compliance regulations to ensure routine studies are completed on time and accurately recorded to meet appropriate scientific and GMP regulatory standards.
