The salary is broken down as £31,880 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £34,108. Plus, a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

RaSP provides personal close protection to members of the Royal Family and Ministerial VIPs in the UK and abroad. They also provide protection to various foreign dignitaries visiting the UK and are responsible for protecting Royal residences in London, Windsor and Scotland.

Responsibilities

Working as part of the RaSP HQ team, you will play an important role supporting the delivery of communication activity across RaSP. With an eye for detail and a good grasp of mainstream Microsoft Office products, you will assist with day-to-day organisational tasks to help implement both OCU-wide and MPS-wide communications.

Working directly with the Communication Manager, senior leaders and internal and external partners, the range of tasks you will deliver could include;

  • Provide administrative support to help manage communications activity, including planning, delivery and evaluation - working closely with Communications Manager and business leads to help facilitate this.
  • Provide administrative support to help implement campaigns aligned with key priority areas for the organisation.
  • Work closely with Communications Manager to ensure that strategies and plans are integrated.
  • Managing and monitoring various email accounts, dealing with or directing requests efficiently.
  • Working to deadlines in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Organising and managing evaluation data.

Essential criteria

  • The successful applicant will be required to sign a Confidentiality Agreement and already be/or agree to be vetted to SC/MV level.
  • Must be IT literate - intermediate level in the use Excel is essential must also be able to manipulate and analyse data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desirable criteria

  • Have the ability to prioritise and work on own initiative.
  • Experience in taking minutes and meeting administration.
