Mettler-Toledo Safeline X-ray Limited are introducing a graduate training scheme called "Engineering Edge" in order to develop the next generation of all-around engineers. This 2-year scheme will include placements within various sub-departments including (some but not necessarily all of) the following: manufacturing, engineering (electronic, mechanical, electrical, software, new product development, applications, engineered-to-order), quality, supply chain and sales & marketing, with the intention of developing the skills & knowledge to become an invaluable member of the engineering team.
An insight into the perspectives & challenges of the different roles will create a unique understanding of how all of the functions fit together to forge a successful X-ray business, which will be invaluable moving forwards.
Key responsibilities
- Develop skills & relationships in variety of placements/functions
- Networking within the company
- Gain experience & understanding of X-ray inspection product range
- Gain understanding of how all of the functions within MTSLXR work & work together to deliver industry-leading products to our customers
- Includes practical-hands-on & desk-based work
What You Need to Succeed
- Good first degree in Physics, Materials Science, Engineering, Systems Engineering or similar (knowledge of electromagnetic radiation and in particular X-rays is a bonus)
- Keen to develop into a good all-round engineer.
- Good problem solving skills and root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Commercially aware.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision (self-starter).
- Ability to work to and consistently meet deadlines.
