Purpose of role
We are looking for an experienced Marketing Executive to support in the development and delivery of Marketing & BD plans.
The ideal candidate will feel confident to work with the London Marketing Manager and partners to develop, drive and implement regional and national marketing and business development plans, including supporting partners in managing their pipelines and report regularly on progress and achievements. Confidence, a can-do attitude and a bucket load of energy are key for this role.

What you'll do
Main responsibilities
- Working with the Marketing Manager to support with all aspects of marketing, events, proposals, BD and PR activities
- Build and maintain relationships with partners to ensure timely and effective delivery of marketing and communication activities as required.
- Forge close working relationships with the other members of the Marketing team to ensure a joined-up approach and best practise across the offices.
- Develop close working relationships with the other MHA network firms regarding the relevant sectors.
Marketing events
- To work with the Marketing Manager and partners to agree and plan both online and offline events, their purpose, target audience and budgets.
- To organise events from concept to close utilising other team members’ expertise to support you where necessary.
- To set up / break down and attend functions as required and undertake any follow up work as necessary. E.g. feedback is gathered from attendees, analysed and is followed up.
- Ensuring ROI is maximised on all events and marketing activities.
Direct marketing
- Support general direct marketing campaigns and co-ordinate the delivery of all aspects of sector campaigns including:
- Data research, cleansing and analysis
- Digital campaigns
- Liaising with external suppliers
- Monitoring ROI and lead generation follow up
Business development and sector related prospect targeting
- To work with the Marketing Manager on managing and monitoring the partners prospect pipelines
- To work closely with our targeting specialists to ensure they have the right information in line with marketing plans to carry out their work
- Support with personalised targeting campaigns when necessary
- Report on marketing activity undertaken and leads generated
- Research potential prospects and competitors
- Cleanse, add and manage information on CCH database
- Support sector teams with pitches and presentations
- Arrange sector referrer/networking meetings
- Manage relationships with various associations and organisations
Sector marketing communications
- Liaise with digital team to relevant sector related content on website
- Assist in drafting annual MHA sector marketing plans
- Manage external subscriptions to groups and/or other publications
- Assist Sector head with projects and tasks upon request
- Assist department with any other ad-hoc duties as requested
- Support with sector related PR – generating content ideas and liaising with the PR agency
MHA Network firm’s relationship
- Provide liaison point between all MHA member firms sector team
- Co-ordinate & distribute comms
- Draft and manage MHA sector plan
- Act as a liaison point between MHA firms for Sector
Qualification and skills required
- Must have a marketing/business development background (either a degree/qualification or experience)
- Advantage to have experience of professional services industry
- Able to build reports and present findings, research target lists and industries.
- Able to build strong relationships at partner level and provide valuable input into marketing strategy
- Experience in running campaigns from origination, planning, implementation, measurement and feedback.
- Ambition, determination, confidence, an accomplished communicator with excellent written English, management of the content calendar.
- A high level of numeracy to understand business progress reports and a keen eye for detail on this.
- A good understanding of social media for business development purposes and brand awareness.
- Has the ability to prioritise effectively and works accurately and well under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Competent user of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. InDesign would be advantageous.
