We are looking for a degree qualified civil engineer, ideally with experience of working in a design consultancy, but graduates are also encouraged to apply for this role. The job will require a motivated individual who is technically capable as well as a good communicator. Experience of working within water related civil engineer projects would be an advantage but is not essential.

A large proportion of the role will be working in our civils team and you should, therefore, have experience in some or all of the following: water retaining structures, structural steelwork, scour assessments and hydraulics, inspections and assessments as well as a good knowledge of general civil and structural principles.

The individual should have a sound technical background and be competent in the use of general MS Office, AutoCAD, Strand 7 or equivalent FE analysis software and TEDDS or equivalent. The ideal candidate should have a good knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards and CDM Regulations.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in civil engineering (Ideally BEng/MEng min 2:1), working towards membership of ICE
  • Clean driving licence.
