And, you’ll be involved in planning and implementing new data processes that keep us ahead of the curve.

To join, you’ll need a 2:2 degree (or an equivalent qualification) in any subject, or experience in a technical role that involves data analysis and report writing. You’ll also be proficient with Microsoft Office systems. Whether you’re writing formal reports or speaking to someone in-person, you’ll be confident communicating solutions and understanding people’s needs. You might already have some experience working in computer networking, data flow or communication systems. Importantly, you’ll combine your interpersonal and organisational skills with a desire to learn and develop your abilities – and our ways of working.

Upon joining, you’ll receive a full induction to GCHQ as well as access to training that lasts throughout your career with us. You’ll be part of a vibrant skills community dedicated to supporting your ambitions, with tailored coaching and mentoring also available. Plus, you’ll get plenty of guidance as you settle into the role, including training on data sharing policies, legal and compliant intelligence release, and effective communication.

You’ll receive a starting salary of £36,408, plus other benefits including 25 days’ annual leave (rising to 30 after 5 years), paid parental and adoption leave, and the option to work flexibly with compressed hours. We recognise the importance of a good work-life balance, so whatever stage of life or your career you’re at, you won’t have to compromise on what matters to you.
