    • This is a paid, full-time 12-months internship from September 2023 to August 2024.
    • Based at our London Head Office with hybrid working.

    Department Overview

    The Retail Buying, Planning & Allocation department analyse customer buying patterns and predict future trends, considering customer demand, price levels and the retail market.

    The team are responsible for the sales, product assortment, pricing, inventory projections and distribution of more than 100 stores across Europe and our E-commerce Site. Primarily the purpose of this position is to assist the analysis, product development and trading strategies for an evolving retail business across multiple classifications.     

    The Intern will report into the Retail Pricing Manager and work across Buying, Planning, Allocation & Pricing. The Intern will gain understanding of the Buying, Planning, and distribution processes within the retail industry; pricing strategies, regional trends, customer behaviour and product successes to help support the business.

    What You’ll Do

    • Assisting with reporting and trade meeting preparation with a basic understanding of trade reports 
    • Supporting critical paths, working with key stakeholders to ensure key dates are met and presenting changes each week. 
    • Establishing strong relationships with the team and stores to better understand merchandising strategies and needs of the business. Visit stores at least once a month with the team, using store visits to make customer focused suggestions.
    • Preparing for product reviews and sign-offs. Required to be present in the buy sign-offs note taking, producing post buy recap and documents  
    • Assisting buy preparation for market; running reports, best-seller report
    • Partnering with the Allocation team to assess stock at a store level
    • Partnering with the buying team to maximise sales and profit by monitoring sales and stock penetrations on key programs, as well as clearance and aging by door.
    • Liaising with key stockholders weekly to discuss and collect all price change activity.
    • Supporting price and promotions communication to stores
    • Assisting weekly system price changes

    • Be able to commit 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
