The Role

You will be part of the System and R&D Group within the Human Machine Interface Division (HMID) business unit. You will be working on the design and support of next generation of capacitive touch controller, specifically supporting development of new features, new silicon bring-up and characterisation.

  • Embedded firmware development and implementation.
  • Low level assembler type firmware development.
  • Evaluation and optimization of algorithms using simulation tools as well as hardware test setups
  • Development of custom tool and script to support chip characterisation.
  • Undertake open-ended design projects based on customer input
  • Close collaboration with our Analog and Digital Design teams as well as the Applications and firmware development team
  • Undertake open-ended design projects based on customer input

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Electronics Engineering, Communications Engineering or equivalent (Beng minimum)
  • know-how in statistical signal processing, digital signal processing and communication theory

Competencies

  • Embedded C programming skill
  • Programming skills in Python or similar scripting languages
  • Experience with debugging digital electronics, including familiarity with use of oscilloscopes and related equipment

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience working in electronics or related industry
  • AVR or PIC microcontroller experience
