Microsoft Research, Health Futures (UK), is inviting applications for a unique AI Residency position to work at the exciting intersection of Generative AI and Life Sciences.
As a resident, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working alongside world-class researchers and engineers to develop cutting-edge AI solutions for complex biological problems.
This position is a part of our two-year residency program and provides a unique opportunity to conduct groundbreaking research, which can transform lives and improve healthcare outcomes globally.
Responsibilities
- Conduct innovative research in generative AI within the context of Life Sciences.
- Design, implement, and evaluate AI models to gain insights from complex biological data.
- Collaborate with a team of ML researchers, engineers, and biologists to translate research findings into practical biological insights.
- Share your findings through publications, presentations, and blog posts.
- Contribute to team strategy and foster a culture of growth, innovation, and research excellence.
Required qualifications
- PhD degree (or nearing completion) in Computer Science, Life Sciences, AI, or a related field.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in generative AI and its application in biological data.
- Passion for improving healthcare and making a positive impact on patient outcomes.
- Proficiency in deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) and software engineering best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and dynamic environment.
