About the role
Reporting to – Principal Battery Test Engineer
The Battery test department is responsible for providing Battery/Module/Cell testing services, including performance, life cycle, durability, abuse, and strip & rate.
The role will enable you to see through all the aspects of an engineering project, from planning to delivery. This will require problem solving, communication and reporting on the test. Whilst we believe in independent working at UTAC, and the responsibility that comes with this, we will ensure you are supported every step of the way with on and off the job training and line management support.

- The role will provide Engineering support for UTAC High Voltage Battery Testing technology and operational activities
- Opportunity to develop skills in defining Battery tests based on regulations and customer requirements/specification (performance, life cycle, durability and Abuse)

- Working closely with industry leading customer
- Continuous improvement applied to all activities to ensure ever improving facilities, processes and test methods
- Developing Risk Assessments for all activities to provide a safe working environment at all times

Who you are
Qualifications
- Engineering Degree or equivalent (Electrical/Electronic preferred)
Experience (Specific experience essential/ desirable/ preferred/ beneficial)
- Previous relevant industry work experience (beneficial)
- Previous Graduate/Undergraduate placement experience (beneficial)
Skills (Specific skills essential to the role)
- Some exposure to automation software controlled applications (beneficial)
- Ability to utilize HV diagnostic tools such as multi meters, oscilloscopes and clamp meters with best safety practices
- CAD skills for designing mechanical and electrical components (beneficial)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organisational, analytical and problem solving skills
