Mitie Telecoms are now leading providers of acquisition, design, and construction (ADC) services, specialist managed services of temporary mobile infrastructure, and facilities maintenance for telecoms.
They are looking for Graduate Acquisition & Planning Surveyors to join the team. The post holder will be under the operational guidance of the Senior Acquisition & Planning Surveyor.
What will the role look like?
Liaising and negotiating with Landlords, third parties, to acquire the required rights to deploy and upgrade Telecommunication installations. You will be trained to take responsibility for a portfolio of sites and carry out all site related activities, including:-
- Desktop evaluations, site searches, site visits, drafting terms, negotiating terms and reporting to the client.
The right candidate will work within an internal team and be trained how to:
- Identify and investigate sites which meet the operational needs of the client's business and manage the acquisition process of such sites from identification to Handover Pack submission, utilising a right first-time approach.
- Ensure drawings are accurate and are fit for purpose from the outset.
- Gain a knowledge of pre-application consultation with affected parties and negotiate with both Landlord and the Planning Authority
- Prepare and submit Heads of Terms to industry standards, where a candidate will be trained on use of the Electronic Communication Code.
- Advise your client of progress and support sites progress via Solicitors to Legal completion.
What are we looking for?
Our ideal candidate will have a property or Surveying degree and would be looking to work towards achieving their Assessment of Professional Competence (APC)
- Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills along with the ability to be an inspiring individual and team player.
- Any previous property or surveying experience would be desirable, but not essential for this graduate role.
Locations
- London or Manchester roles are available currently. A clean driving license with no more than 6 points is preferred.
