About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Mitie's Intelligence Hub, a rapidly evolving team of intelligence analysts and researchers operating at the forefront of intelligence-led security. The Intelligence Hub's remit is to provide an open-source intelligence (OSINT) capability to Mitie, and for Mitie's clients.
The intelligence hub is responsible for the identification of potential threats to our clients' employees and business operations and the delivery of timely, actionable threat intelligence for the purpose of informing and facilitating our clients' decision-making process so identified threats can be mitigated.
The intelligence hub also provides major incident communications support in response to a significant incident and bespoke, digital investigation services in response to unique and individual security requirements.
- Monitoring of information feeds to identify major incidents and to determine the impact to Mitie and client locations around the world covering threats such as terrorism, crime, and activism.
- Drafting and sending short-form alerts to Mitie and its clients regarding identified security threats.
- Supporting the Intelligence analysts in responding to, and escalating, major incidents as required to Mitie senior leadership and clients.
- To provide research support to the Intelligence Analysts in the creation of intelligence reports.
- Administer and maintain the communication platform and associated database to ensure its smooth and efficient operation and in line with intelligence requirements.
- To provide ad-hoc support to other areas of the Mitie business as needed.
- Deputise for the Intelligence Analysts during periods of absence.

About you
- Must be willing to work shifts (days, nights and weekends) in support of the Intelligence Hub's 24/7 operation.
- Must be willing to work in the office in Northampton.
- Interest in current affairs and security issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High writing standards are a requirement for this role.
- Self-motivated, ability to organise and prioritise workloads and are driven to develop professionally.
- Strong team player.
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Able to take the initiative when appropriate to solve problems as they appear.
