The position is based in K Block at GSK Barnard Castle. The role is to provide support to laboratory analysts.
Main duties
The role includes various duties as listed but is not exhaustive to the role as their may be other duties requested by the lab.
- The successful applicant would deal with waste management, administration and completion of GXP documentation.
- They will look after the stock management including repleneshing chemicals, solvents and consumables in the area.
- Cleaning and storage of specialist glassware, daily and weekly calibration checks on equipment within the area.
- They will also help with archiving and the preparation and storage of samples.
- They will also be required to host visitors to the area once trained.
What we are looking for
An enthusiasic, flexible and hard working person who is both a good team player and able to work on one's own. The ideal candidate should possess confidence and strong communication skills to challenge behaviors and drive for continuous improvement. IT literacy is a must and a preference will be given to those with some experience in a science subject or similar. Do you have strong organizational skills and can you work under pressure. The role requires the ability to work to detail and follow instructions from the lab manager.
