    We are proud of our placement programme and rightly so as over the last 20 years we have seen this grow and develop and many students who have been through placements with us have returned to us after graduation, kickstarting their careers in their chosen field in a Digital Transformation Agency, working alongside some of our global partners such as Vodafone, BP and Virgin Atlantic.

    Our Finance Director and Chief Technology Officer, both started at MMT as placement students – when we say we take your career seriously we mean it! In addition to learning on the job, we have a dedicated placement student programme run by our experienced L&D team who will help you thrive not just in the technical aspects of your role, but by immersing you in the world of business, your own personal brand and providing a number of socialisation days to help you thrive in your career.

    As a small company with a large reach you will get hands on exposure with our senior leaders, access to dedicated and tailored Learning & Development to support you throughout the year and an opportunity to come together with your placement cohort on a regular basis to learn from each other. As part of MSQ partners (an international group of creative agencies) if you are in our London Office (which is opposite the Royal Opera House, right in Covent Garden) you will also be working alongside these partner agencies. Did we mention that we also have a free bar in London on a Thursday to say thank you to all our staff?

    Depending on the role, you will be based out of our Uppingham Office in the Midlands, or our London Office but you will need to on occasion travel to both when you are not working from home. Students should be able to get themselves to our offices.

    The Opportunity

    We are looking for motivated software engineer students who want to gain experience in delivering high quality solutions to solve real-world problems for our clients. We’d love to see a real passion for the digital industry and the willingness to constantly learn, adapt, and develop. You’ll be working within the delivery team, on projects for some huge clients of ours, contributing to the value being delivered. This is a fantastic opportunity to code and learn with some of the industry’s best developers!

    During your time with us you’ll work through our placement training programme before joining some of our project teams to gain client facing experience and over the year you’ll cover areas such as;

    • HTML and CSS Skills
    • Experience with Git or other source control systems
    • Server-Side languages and frameworks such as C#, .NET Core and MVC
    • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks like React
    • Working with a CMS (e.g., Kentico, Kontent, Contentful)
    • Working in an Agile SCRUM team
    • Building relationships with stakeholders
    • Delivering Value to our Clients

    This is a fantastic opportunity to code and learn with some of the industry’s best engineers, working on a great variety of projects for prestigious clients - no two days are the same!
