The role
This role plays an important part in supporting the Commercial Life Science team. You manage incoming customer enquiries from various channels – email, phone, live chat etc. One of the key responsibilities will be asking the right questions to understand their requirements, identifying and liaising with appropriate technical colleagues and administration functions to ensure timely and accurate communication.
Primary Responsibilities
- Working flexibly to support the Life Sciences Commercial Team
- Responding to incoming enquiries new and and providing updates on existing projects
- Preparing quotations/proposals for new enquiries
- Answering incoming emails, phone calls, Live Chat and MyRSSL enquiries
- Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with clients and internal technical colleagues
- Multitasking – managing enquiries from multiple clients across several channels simultaneously
- Account Management - acting as the central point of contact for your named accounts and working to maximise existing client opportunities as well as developing new opportunities.
- Other support activities as required by the Commercial Life Science team
Experience, Skills & Competencies
- Educated to degree or professional qualification standard in a science subject- (Scientific background)
- Intermediate level for MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Proven excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Ability to maintain calmness whilst multi-tasking with several stakeholders and re-prioritise in changing environments
- Excellent communication skills with ability to adapt personal style to others’ preferences and translate complex scientific information into simple terms.
- Informing– key stakeholders and key partners updated on progress
- Peer Relationships - Collaborative style with ability to build partnerships both internally and externally, quickly finding common ground and solve problems for the good of all.
- Previous Inside Sales / Customer Service or Account Management experience in scientific setting an advantage
- Direct client experience an advantage

You can be based anywhere in UK as you can work at home. However, you will be expected to come to the office once a month for team meetings (you can as well work in the office if it's your preference).
