This Internship is available at our Tewkesbury facility within our Aircraft Group, which focuses on the design and testing of our high-spec Servovalve products.

Product Development Engineering at Moog Aircraft Group Tewkesbury
The Product Development Engineering team lead new product development from initial concept design through to certification of hardware for use on an aircraft applications. We work on a range of high profile aerospace programmes providing electro hydraulic components for flight control and engine control applications.
We have direct access to the latest design technologies such as 3D modelling and design simulation software, prototype manufacture and test environments, additive manufacture tools and techniques as well as the opportunities for training and development within these areas.
Product Development Internship projects
The product development engineering internship is a 12-month onsite placement based at Tewkesbury. Reporting into a Lead Engineer, you will be expected to provide input into one or more phases of new product development: design, analysis, manufacture and testing utilising your analytical, report writing, presentation and problem solving skills. This is an opportunity to develop your career to achieve international exposure, influence on business critical programmes and the chance to be part of a business at the forefront of technology.
Your project work will be based on-site in Tewkesbury but may target products being manufactured at one of our Aircraft Group sites across the UK, USA, and Philippines.
This internship will give you the opportunity to gain real world engineering experience, working with a team of highly skilled professional engineers. You will be able to develop your teamwork and communication skills through interaction with other engineers and technical experts, with the potential for training in engineering tools and techniques as required for project success.
You will gain experience with a New Product Introduction (NPI) process and get exposure to our wider business whilst you work alongside colleagues within Product Support Engineering, Quality and Operations.
Skills and qualifications
- Working towards a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (e.g. Aerospace, Mechanical, Automotive or Electrical engineering).
- Flair for practical, hands-on activities.
- Creative, problem-solving mentality.
- Keen interest in upcoming technologies.
- Willing to embrace and effect change, with an eagerness to make a positive impact.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
