Test Equipment Engineering at Moog Aircraft Group Tewkesbury
The Test Equipment team are responsible for a number of diverse engineering related activities, including the development of application specific electronic & hydromechanical solutions, from concept to detailed design, for integration into complex Test Equipment Systems. These Test Systems support the Qualification and Production Acceptance testing of a wide range of Moog Aircraft Electro-Hydraulic Servo Valves and other related Flight Control Systems.
In addition the Test Equipment team are responsible to internal customers for the sustainment of our deployed fleet of test rigs, which is a vital and core part of our business. These responsibilities include general electronic/mechanical maintenance, calibration, and health & safety risk assessments.
The team also manage and deploy their own projects, from initial proposal through requirements management and deployment of bespoke test equipment system solutions in complete fulfillment of customer need, whether internal or external.
Test Equipment Internship projects
The Test Equipment Internship is a 12-month onsite placement based at Wolverhampton. Reporting into the Test Equipment Sustainment Manager, you will be responsible assisting/leading in the following disciplines of Test Equipment: Sustainment (Sustaining deployed customer test equipment), Design (designing new test equipment) and Fulfillment (Project management & deployment).
This internship will give you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with Test Equipment that is 50 years or right through to state-of-the-art new technology. Test equipment gives you the unique opportunity to be involved in products from concept right through to end of the products life.

Skills and qualifications
- Working towards a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science Technology (E.g. Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Digital Engineering). Ideally you’ll have an interest or bias in Electronics demonstrated through your Degree, modules or projects/hobbies.

- Keen interest in upcoming technologies.
- Willing to embrace and effect change, with an eagerness to make a positive impact.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
