About the team
As a member of the Finance team you will have an opportunity to get involved in the business and help shape the efficiency of the Finance Department within a successful consulting firm. You’ll be working as part of a high performing Finance Team and your role will include:
- Engagements/Projects – This includes everything from the set up to ensuring contractual documentation is received and logged to opening up the engagement for time on Sales Force.
- Credit Control – A good credit control process is at the heart of any successful business.
- WIP – Working with the business to ensure contractual documentation and purchase orders arereceived in a timely fashion in order to raise invoices.
- Group Reporting – Reporting daily cash balance.
- Audits – There is one statutory audit each year and in addition to that there are mini audits, which take place around September and December each year.

What we are looking for
The Finance Assistant is an exciting, fast-paced and varied role. The responsibilities touch upon all finance aspects of an engagement as well as getting involved in the day to day tasks of the finance department. Such activities will include, but are not limited to:
- Credit control.
- Managing submission and accuracy of consultant time sheets.
- Dealing with client queries concerning invoice details and raising Sales invoices.
- Entering supplier invoices by period close.
- Bank account reconciliation.
- Pension reconciliation.
- Reconciliation of expenses.
- Capturing and reporting Framework Data.
- Assisting with the Financial Audits (Statutory and Ad-hoc).
- Ensuring contractual documentation for engagements is received and logged.
This role requires a highly proactive, organised, service-orientated individual who is keen to learn and drive through ideas and recommendations as well as contribute to the successful running of the business.
The Finance Assistant is part of a growing, high performing Finance Department, and would suit someone who is positive, personable, self-motivated and able to work as part of a very collaborative team.
Must have
The successful candidate must be able to evidence:
- 1+ years accounting experience, ideally in a professional services business
- Numerate
- Proficiency Office 365 including Teams, Outlook and Excel
- Strong Communication Skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities
- Knowledge of Financial Force as an accounting package would be an advantage
Package and location
- A base salary of between £28,000 – £32,000 depending on experience and a £2,000 bonus to be paid on completion of the contract.
