  • Personal Development: Beyond your daily tasks, you’ll have dedicated time for learning and growth including mentor catch ups. With tailored resources and support, you’ll enhance your skills and knowledge, benefiting your work, the project, and your future career.
  • The Project: Lead and collaborate with fellow placement students on impactful projects that benefit both the business and the community, offering a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference.

About you

Are you passionate about providing top-notch support and finding innovative solutions to meet business needs? This role is perfect for you! We’re looking for someone with excellent Excel skills and strong technical knowledge, but that’s just the beginning.

Imagine leveraging your expertise in tools such as Power Apps and Power BI to develop and integrate multiple data sources into efficient, impactful reporting that drives business success. You’ll need outstanding communication, organisational, and customer service skills. Getting the basics right is crucial, and you’ll take pride in ensuring every aspect of your role meets the highest standards.

This role is ideal for someone who strives to provide excellent customer service, is eager to learn and develop, and constantly seeks ways to improve and enhance processes. You’ll be customer-focused, using effective questions to fully understand requirements, and you’ll have a passion for Management Information (MI) and insight.

Minimum criteria

You’ll need all of these.

  • Currently in your 2 nd year and on track achieve a 2:1 or better in a technical degree
  • Able to travel to the Bristol Office 3 days/week
  • Exposure to Power BI would be advantageous
  • Looking to start from July 2025

Who you’ll be working with

The Business Risk team are part of the Business Risk & Compliance function that sits within the Finance Division.

The team is a key component of MO’s second line function as part of MO’s approach to the 3 lines model for risk management. Risk is owned by the first line business areas with the Business Risk team supporting, advising and capturing key risks and ensuring the appropriate approach to mitigation and control, ensuring risks are managed within the appetite defined by the business.

The Business Risk team is based in Bristol. We would anticipate presence in Bristol for approximately 12 days per month for team days and meetings.

What we do

We lease a wide range of tailored mobility solutions to people who receive of one of the Government’s qualifying mobility allowances. Our customers choose a car, Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV), scooter or powered wheelchair that best suits their needs. We take care of their insurance, breakdown, servicing and more, as part of our worry-free package.

At the end of the lease, our customers can exchange their vehicle for a brand-new model. Each year we sell and move around 200,000 cars. This makes us the largest supplier of single-source vehicles back into the used car market.

The Scheme has been providing affordable, worry-free motoring for over 45 years. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding customer service, with an independent customer satisfaction rating of 9.6 out of 10.
