Our award-winning landscape architecture and urban design team has an opportunity for a Landscape Architect to join the team assisting with nationally important infrastructure projects and high-profile urban regeneration.
The role requires a candidate with a passion for landscape and the wider environment, with good technical ability to support the team in the delivery of design and technical projects. We have accredited Building with Nature assessors, and we were the first engineering company in the world to be certified as carbon neutral for its global operations.
You will take responsibility for completing packages of work, reporting to a senior team member on a range of design, technical and assessment projects. You will take an active role in supporting our team delivering multi- disciplinary projects for key internal and external clients.
In addition to this, the candidate’s typical duties and responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the delivery of high-quality design projects, technical designs and management
of multi-disciplinary teams from project inception through to completion. - Assisting in the production of conceptual, detailed and associated contract drawings, presentation drawings, schedules, specifications and photomontages for landscape and urban design projects.
- Raising the profile of landscape architecture and urban design in Mott MacDonald through
- Contributing to Mott MacDonald early career professional network and attending events.
- Supporting the Landscape Design Team in undertaking site surveys in support of Environmental Assessments and the analysis and development of landscape and environmental improvement schemes.
- Assisting in the production of conceptual and detailed designs and associated contract
drawings, presentation drawings, schedules and specifications for landscape and urban design improvement schemes. - Providing AutoCAD and/or Revit and other graphic support.
- Delivering to the required quality standards in accordance with the current Quality Management Procedures.

To be eligible for this opportunity, you will have less than 12 months relevant experience and have a degree or are expected to achieve one of the following degree disciplines:
- Landscape Design
- Landscape Architecture
In your application you should be able to demonstrate your interest in the role and working at Mott MacDonald through relevant experience, such as studying relevant modules, or previous work experience.

- Excellent verbal communication skills, which allow you to confidently liaise with clients and team members.
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail and be able to demonstrate accurate technical drawings and good report writing.
