The Strategy and Commercial Operations business unit consists of five teams: Strategy Office, Data, Operations and Systems, Insights and Analytics, Commercial Trade Channels and Business Practices and Privacy. These teams work under the shared vision to establish an industry leading Commercial Strategy and Operations group for the UK subsidiary. The 24-month graduate scheme covers the following four areas over three rotations:
Strategy Office
- Develop a network of stakeholders across multiple teams
- Lead a project from start to finish that aligns to a priority area for the business
- Support and project manage strategic initiatives across the UK organisation aligned to our quarterly objectives
- Support and liaise with senior management on communications and projects
- Partnering with SCO and other business units within our organisation to develop commercial and business acumen with an internal and external view
Insights, Analytics & Systems
- Become the Business Insights Lead for key business areas
- Customer engagement analytics projects
- New reporting development to support evolving business needs
- Tracking business performance utilising learned skills in Spotfire and Excel
- Sales forecasting
- Project manage market research
Pricing
- Develop a sophisticated understanding of the external NHS purchasing environment and terminology
- Develop a sophisticated understanding of the commercial process, including tendering, contracting & rebates
- Understand the impact of actions on both Gross and Net pricing
- Assess commercial opportunities and the potential impact on franchise finances
Commercial Trade Channels (CTC)
- Develop an understanding of the end-to-end trade channel environment from pallet to patient
- Demand planning and inventory management processes ensuring optimal product forecasting for UK market with responsibility for specific brands
- Supply chain data analytics supporting commercial and supply chain
- Supporting sustainability through packaging reporting and reforms
- Omni –channel Supply Chain communications internally and externally
- CTC transformation projects
Requirements
- Working in a STEM subject (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) or Business-related discipline or MPharm, either predicted or gained within the last two years
- Project management experience with examples of delivering initiatives from start to finish with clear goals and objectives
Job Overview
You will be part of a 24-Month Graduate scheme in our Medical Information team. As part of this role, you will:
- Conduct process assurance activities relating to outsource provision of Designated Point of Contact (DPOC) and Medical Information (MI)
- Generate bespoke responses to address third line enquiries and preparing scientific documentation for internal and external customers
- Localise Global Scientific Response Documents (SRDs) for local use
- Review and approve UK-specific SRDs to respond to MI enquiries
- Perform quality assurance of SRDs
- Provide internal resource for product knowledge and responding to internal scientific enquiries
- Ensure inspection and audit readiness for DPOC and MI activities
- Support the technical and scientific review of non-promotional materials for assigned therapeutic areas, ensuring compliance with ABPI Code of Practice, statutory and Company requirements
- Generate and provide metrics and insights for the wider business
Requirements
- B.Sc. in life science, Pharmacy or equivalent healthcare qualification
- Relevant medical information or equivalent working knowledge such as medical writing
- Knowledge of writing scientific documents
