About the role

This is a two year temporary contract suitable for a graduate, based at Great Lakes’ office London. The role will be support the Underwriting and Product Team with the oversight of our products to ensure fair value to our customers and analysis of product metrics and lend a hand to multiple areas of the business to ensure appropriate oversight of the products distributed by GLISE. The Graduate trainee will be part of a small team responsible for approving and monitoring insurance products.

Key Responsibilities

Your role in the Actuarial Pricing Team will involve assisting other members of the Actuarial Pricing team with their tasks, including the following:

  • To support the team in implementing, embedding and managing activities in relation to regular and effective monitoring data of the products under our remit.
  • Assist the team in managing the schedule for reviews, managing the in-house resources effectively. Support the team in providing the qualitative analysis of Fair Value Assessments, written report and the feedback to the various stakeholders arising from the review, document the feedback and monitor the outcomes of the review, ensuring that recommendations are achieved within the timeframes
  • Support the Pricing Manager in specific in-depth reviews of pricing of products.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of Power BI dashboards for continuous monitoring of products. Assist our agents with the design and build of dashboards.
  • Look at data analysis solutions for the Underwriting and Product Team.
  • Supporting ‘business as usual’ activities for the Underwriting and Product Team

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

  • University degree or insurance qualifications;
  • Data analytics experience with relevant software training
