Underwriting Assistant, Green Solutions
We are looking to employ an Underwriting Assistant, Green Solutions to be based in London and to work with us on a full-time basis. This role would be suited to a recent Graduate/School leaver looking for an entry point to a career in the insurance industry.
The successful individual will be adept at working with numbers, and possess the ability to master accurate, timely and confidential data entry processes with training provided. Demonstrate good communication skills, working within a diverse, inclusive and fast growing international collegiate team.

The role
- Entering data into the Lloyds market Subscribe 2000 underwriting system, in-house developed pricing and reporting tools including Clickview & Power BI & Excel along with various office administration systems as required;
- Scanning and photocopying of documents as required;
- Management of documents within Underwriter file requirements per current team requirements.
- Complete the clearing list and accumulation control process as required and formal sign off that they have been completed with any exceptions noted
- Ensure all underwriting contracts are contract certainty and due process has been completed.
- Managing/monitoring electronic placing documentation on platforms such as PPL
- Reviewing and managing exception reports on a weekly basis;
- Reviewing and posting daily premium closing messages in S2000
- Assist in managing credit control and aged debt
- Maintaining renewal lists and chasing brokers for renewing risks
- Attend the Underwriting/ S2000 forum
- Ensure that company procedures and systems are followed and maintained, as per procedures and compliance manuals;
- With appropriate training, run quality assurance checks to ensure all contract certainty and due process checks and compliance requirements have been completed to standard
- Attend relevant meetings within the company.
- Taking minutes of meetings and any other administrative tasks as and when required
- Providing support in respect of new projects or initiatives as and when needed
- Help drive forward and exemplify good Conduct for the business to deliver the best outcomes for customers / policyholders.
- Any other ad-hoc tasks as necessary
- Understand all appropriate lines of escalation and the responsibilities of the Product Conduct Risk Strategy Group (PCRSG), Underwriting & Claims Sub Committee (UCSC) , ExCo and Board for Conduct Risk.
What we are looking for
You to provide accurate and high quality administrative services to the Green Solutions Underwriting Team, demonstrating care for customers and respect for the regulatory obligations of the Company and the Syndicate.
Qualifications
- University Degree and/or relevant professional qualification
- Some office/ admin experience would be preferable but not vital to role
- Experience or knowledge of Insurance or Lloyds market preferable but not vital to the role
