To continue with our growth plans for 2023 and beyond we are searching for Planning Graduates to join our Professional Development Programme for our autumn 2023 intake. Based at the office in Rickmansworth or one of our London site offices, you will be working on projects throughout the London Water Framework.
As part of our planning team, you will work across design, procurement, construction, commissioning functions to understand how projects operate across their lifecycle. Under the support of one of our senior planners, you will:
- Support the project team to drive projects forward to achieve the project programme
- Participate in collaborative planning sessions with project stakeholders
- Develop and manage project schedules using Primavera P6 software
- Develop schedules into 4D digital plans which are intelligently linked to the 3D model.
- Develop key relationships with clients, design teams, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders
- Plan and manage site operations, to ensure safety, quality, cost effectiveness, timely production and customer satisfaction
- Ensure actions are carried out at the right time, by the right people and to a controlled budget
- Undertake a placement on one of our construction sites, where you will be embedded into one of our project delivery teams, to learn how engineering designs are built into operable assets which deliver water and wastewater solutions for customers.

About You
Qualifications
- Engineering related degree in either Civil, Mechanical or Construction Management (minimum 2.2)
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal are essential, and you must be able to work well within a team and independently.
- You will be self – motivated, flexible and reliable with good problem-solving skills.
- You will also have a strong client service focus and excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task. Excellent computer skills and a good understanding of Microsoft Office are essential.
- Successful candidates will need to be flexible and willing to spend time in other offices and sites. This is to gain a full understanding of new projects and different clients, which will provide fresh experiences and support your development.
- Candidates will also need to have a full UK driving license or in the process of taking their driving test.
