We have an exciting opportunity for a Brand Marketing Assistant to join our busy Marketing team to be responsible for supporting marketing projects across the JD Williams and Jacamo brands. With emphasis on campaign, social and influencer; you’ll help to create compelling marketing campaigns and content for our target customers.
You’ll work closely with the Brand Leads and Social and Influencer Leads, buying teams and wider brand marketing team to plan and execute marketing campaigns, as well as developing social media content with our inhouse creative team and influencer talent, across our social platforms.
The role will assist in advertising campaign content, as well as working closely with our creative and media agencies, any 3rd parties and social team, to plan and execute below-the-line brand content.
Responsibilities
- Prepare creative briefs and input brand specific requirements into wider marketing briefs to enable the creation of inspirational content fit for market
- Work confidently with the design and creative team to create on-brand content
- Manage the social planner and 12-month marketing plan ensuring it is kept up to date
- Assist the brand and social teams on monitoring content performance and analysing results for key campaigns making recommendations on future activity
- Liaise with the trading and performance marketing teams to ensure alignment across marketing and digital teams, for key brand activity
- Attend photoshoots to create inspiring behind the scenes social content
- Produce a brand cultural calendar by market identifying events to mobilise content around
- Identify key influencers to work with and make recommendations
- Work with buying teams to identify key products for influencers and ambassadors
- Work with buying to understand product newness and key brand drops in order to brief in PR asset creation.
- Monitor PR activity and placements to optimise future activity
- Order product for shoots and influencer activity maintaining an order log for audit
- Collaborate with the product department to monitor when stock will land to make informed decisions on product for shoots, campaigns, and ambassador edits
- Ensure relevant assets are shared on time to all internal and external channels
- Assist in the post -production process ensuring final assets are stored centrally and accessible for marketing leaders and wider teams
- Produce activity summary making recommendations on future activity
- Understand brand tone of voice and ensure consistency in all communications
- Budget management - keep a central PO log across all social, influencer and brand marketing activations liaising with social and brand leads in weekly status updates.
- Raise POs around key marketing activity and ensure suppliers are paid on time.
- Complete competitor audits and monitor marketing trends, keeping abreast of trends from lifestyle and fashion through to home, beauty and technical categories.
- Write social copy and publish all content to channels daily in line with the social calendar.
- Prepare social creative briefs and input social requirements into wider marketing briefs to enable the creation of inspirational social content fit for platform
- Assist the Social and Influencer Lead on monitoring performance and analysing results for key campaigns
- Liaise with the paid social team to ensure alignment across marketing and digital teams, for key activity and campaigns
- Monitor influencer activity and track influencer payments log to ensure influencers are paid for activity on time
Experience
- You will have ideally a degree or equivalent and a strong interest in Marketing
- Knowledge of and a demonstrable interest in fashion clothing and/or interior design would be advantageous
- Strong copywriting skills with attention to detail is essential
- Organisational and administrative skills
- Computer literate with intermediate level skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Email
- Knowledge of all social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube and emerging platforms
- Able to organise self with a flexible attitude
- Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
