    We are looking for an Associate BI Analyst to join our Data & Analytics team, so if you are a problem solver with great analytical skills , this position might be for you!

    In this role you will delivers value for Nest through data extraction, wrangling and analysis that will ensure the business is focused on giving users the best outcomes, value for money and experience. You will interpret, analyse and translate our enterprise-wide data into insights and provide regular BAU and ad-hoc reports to meet the needs of our internal and external customers.

    In this role you may have multiple career paths – data engineer, continuous insight / surveys, BI developer, data analyst or modelling analyst, and as much as possible, the role will be given the opportunities to learn based on their aptitude and interest.

    This role is appropriate for someone starting out their career, and you don’t need to be a data expert, but you do need to be a problem solver, willing to learn and have the drive to become an expert in using a variety of data analysis tools. At the heart of it, your role is to help people in the business make informed decisions.

    Who we're looking for

    To be successful in this position, you will have the following skills and experience:

    • Willingness to learn data analysis and visualisation tools; some of which may include: RStudio, Python, Business Objects, Power BI, Google Analytics, SQL, Dax and Microsoft Excel;
    • Desire to learn some data analysis techniques including but not limited to: regressions, drivers’ analysis, web metrics, cluster analysis, randomised control trials (RCTs), customer journey mapping, converting data into visualisations;
    • Excellent analytical skills with a well-developed ability to understand and assess trends, highlighting key insights from a large volume of data
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Worked within a customer-focussed service

The department is made up of 6 small teams – data, customer insight, analytics, business intelligence, digital and insight delivery. We also work closely with an outsource partner, who manages and analyses our customer and operational data.
