    About the role

    Let me make it easier for you. You will join National Gas on an 18-month graduate scheme, completing 3 x 6-month placements two across our Construction department and one broadening. So, who are we?

    National Gas Transmission is the backbone of Britain’s energy system today and will play a leading role in the transition to a clean energy future that works for every home and business. We own and operate the national gas network, delivering energy to where it is needed in every part of the country.

    We keep households warm and underpin their quality of life. For business, we fuel growth and innovation, and we are looking to the future by developing the hydrogen transmission system of tomorrow.

    You will be in the Construction capital projects team team, the team completes Asset Replacement works across the network. Your broadening placement could be anywhere in the business where you will gain a wider understanding of how we work operationally.

    We welcome all graduates from diverse backgrounds, as we know diverse minds bring new ideas and a different way of thinking. There is a requirement to have a degree preferably in Engineering, Mathematics or Project Management.

    Whilst we offer hybrid working, this role is 2 days on location. Holding a driving licence is a requirement so you are successful in role. Roles are located across our 6 teams.

    If you are successfully through to the next round, we will be holding initial virtual interviews, and successful candidates after that stage will then be invited to an in-person assessment centre at our Warwick office.
