About the role
As a Threat Intelligence Analyst, you’ll join our dynamic threat intelligence team. This role focuses on monitoring and conducting horizon scanning of geopolitical issues and strategic cyber threat trends that may impact against National Gas objectives. The role will involve daily geopolitical analysis and identifying risks to the organisation. You’ll be required to sift large volumes of material on geopolitical and strategic cyber threat issues, providing analysis against Priority Intelligence Requirements and update and develop key indicators or warning in support of the wider threat intelligence team.
You’ll get stuck into:
- Monitoring and conducting horizon scanning of geopolitical and strategic cyber threat issues and trends that may impact against National Gas objectives.
- Working with wider intelligence analysts to develop and provide all source analysis in support of the weekly intelligence summary and other routine security and intelligence products.
- Day to day analysis and monitoring of geopolitical and strategic cyber threat developments against National Gas Priority Intelligence Requirements.
- Contributing to the analysis and delivery of broad thematic issues that inform wider National Gas strategy and implementation and the security risks posed.
- Monitor geopolitical intelligence and cyber security feeds. Provide geopolitical assessments and trends which will be included in the weekly intelligence summary and other routine products and briefings.
About you
For you to thrive as an analyst, you’ll need a foundation knowledge of geopolitics and/or geoeconomics, cyber trends and the ability to produce all source analysis and assessments. You’ll have a working understanding of, and interest in, the geopolitical and political context. You’ll have the ability to work independently and proactively, and must be able to independently conduct high-quality preliminary research and analysis. This means you written skills will be excellent, able to provide strong quantitative analysis. You’re verbal communication skills will be strong, meaning you can clearly explain difficult issues in a concise manner to the wider security and intelligence team.

You'll need to have permanent right to work in the UK for the entirety of this programme, as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
This role works closely with the UK Critical National Infrastructure, so requires National Security Vetting. This means that you can’t have a criminal record and in the last 5 years you can’t have been out of the UK for cumulatively 6 months or greater.

In return, you’ll receive a range of benefits that reward your great work. Your starting annual salary will be £34,646, plus a bonus scheme and a welcome payment of £2000. You'll receive a generous holiday allowance with the option to buy and sell additional days.

You'll start in a large cohort of other graduates and apprentices, where you'll attend an in-person induction in September 2025, fostering strong workplace relationships that will build the foundation of your future networks.
