We’re looking for driven individuals keen to explore what our industry can offer. You’ll be closely supported by your manager throughout your programme. The Role

If defending IT infrastructure and networks, hacking sites on behalf of National Grid or combating cyber-crimes appeals, then starting a career in cyber security is for you.

During the 12-week summer internship you will be working in a varied environment where no two days are the same, at the heart of a team protecting National Grid’s assets. You’ll develop your capabilities so that you can join this department who make sure all our people, premises and systems stay safe and secure. As part of the team you could be helping manage the risk of cyber threats which continually evolve and increase in sophistication and persistence, to protect our vital infrastructure.

You'll be in your penultimate year of study and excited by the future opportunities this internship could bring you.

As one of our Undergraduates, you’ll have the chance to take command over your career and put into practice the skills you’ve been shaping at university whilst getting an insight into what being part of a dynamic, inspiring team is like at National Grid. You’ll need to be curious and proactive. Ask questions. Be interested. Along with being on track to receive a 2.1 Degree classification in one of the following disciplines:

  • Cyber Security related degree (preferred)

OR

  • Computing related degree (acceptable)
