    About the role

    Are you ready to turn your ambition into a fulfilling career? If you join our Finance Undergraduate Programme, you’ll be empowered and supported to own and grow your career in the direction you choose.

    Our Finance function delivers the insights that drive our financial outperformance and long-term value. We engage with all areas of the National Grid business reporting on performance and acting as partners to aid in decision making. On the programme, you’ll gain exposure to different parts of our business and be an integral part of the team from the start. The finance function plays an important role across a number of areas, and you’ll be actively involved in the following:

    • playing an integral part in business decision making
    • planning, budgeting and forecasting
    • reporting and commentary
    • maintaining strong controls and financial integrity
    • supporting business and finance initiatives to drive performance and efficiencies
    • understanding of the finance systems and data structures

    About you

    Finance is a crucial function of National Grid and affects every aspect of the company. You should be able to able to demonstrate:

    • strong analytical and numerical skills
    • effective communication with the ability to engage people at every level
    • a passion to drive success
    • an ability to work well with others
    • initiative and intellectual curiosity to find a better way

    You don’t need prior work experience; we will teach you everything you need to know to have a successful and rewarding career in Finance.

    What you'll need

    You will need to be on track to pass an undergraduate degree in any discipline. You don’t need prior experience; we will teach you everything you need to know to develop into a future Finance leader.

    This opportunity will be based at Warwick.
