    Our Finance function delivers the insights that drive our financial outperformance and long-term value. We engage with all areas of the National Grid business reporting on performance and acting as partners to aid in decision making.

    Role Description

    On the programme, you’ll gain exposure to different parts of our business and be an integral part of the team from the start. The finance function plays an important role across a number of areas, and you’ll be actively involved in the following:

    • playing an integral part in business decision making
    • planning, budgeting, and forecasting
    • reporting and commentary
    • maintaining strong controls and financial integrity
    • supporting business and finance initiatives to drive performance and efficiencies
    • understanding of the finance systems and data structures

    This role is based at Warwick with flexible, hybrid working.

    About you

    Finance is crucial function of National Grid and affects every aspect of the company so you will need to need to be a good communicator and able to engage with people at every level. An interest in Finance and strong numerical ability is a must but more important is your passion and drive to succeed. You don’t need prior work experience; we will teach you everything you need to know to have a successful and rewarding career in Finance.

    You’re on track to get a 2.1 degree in any discipline. Ideally, you’ll have a valid full UK Driving Licence.
