    When you join our 18-month Graduate Development Programme, you’ll be supporting our DPIT technology team who play a key role that touches every working person, every day in National Grid. The team are changing faster than ever before, and our organisation needs to constantly adapt and evolve to meet their needs and these new challenges.

    We are a team supporting the technology thought leaders, focused on the end user, delivering reliable and secure services and solutions. Our Digital Platforms and Infrastructure Technology team design, plan, build and manage all underlying infrastructure (end user, compute, data storage and connectivity) that enables National Grid to meet our internal needs and the needs of our customers.

    There are opportunities in teams including Planning and Performance, Portfolio Management, and Platform Engineering, and will involve working with a variety of people across the whole of IT and the wider National Grid business where you will gain experience and develop your stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

    Attending monthly and ad-hoc meetings with managers to discuss any changes to their headcount, make changes in our IT Systems to ensure our reporting is correct and up to date, and use resource data to update distribution lists, SP access lists and the team organisation chart. You’ll maintain the vacancies, new hires, and leadership spotlight section of the Community site, support the delivery of New Starter welcome packs and arrange New Starter introductory calls with the Leadership Team. You’ll also create internal communications delivered via events and other communication channels.

    Join IT and help us create new ways of working and help us exploit technology opportunities as they arise, for the benefit of all of us. You’ll have the opportunity to work with people across National Grid’s businesses and our partner third party suppliers, whether through starting projects and visioning the end-product, resolving technology issues for customers, or finding better ways to use technology for the benefit of our employees and customers.

    This role is based at Warwick/Wokingham with flexible, hybrid working.

    About You

    As one of our Graduates, you’ll have the chance to start putting your studies into practice!

    You’ll have a minimum 2.1 Degree classification in either IT, Computing, Computer Science, Business, Economics, Engineering or Technology

    We are proud to offer a starting salary of £30,278 (Bachelors) or £31,379 (Masters).
