Have you ever considered yourself to be an innovator, or an investigator, with a desire to work with new technologies and enable the energy transition? Joining the Project Development Engineer Industrial placement, you will work with experienced engineers to determine what we build, when we build it, and how we fund it. You will lead a cross-company team through the Optioneering phase of our investment process to deliver sustainable solutions for our customers, support National Grid’s 2050 Net Zero target and take these multi-million-pound schemes in front of the investment committee to sanction.
About you
- You will need to be on track to receive a 2.2 degree in a STEM (preferably Electrical Engineering) discipline
- To apply for this role, you will need to hold a full valid UK driving License

You will receive a starting salary of £20,212 during your industrial placement as well as 25 days holiday and close mentoring and feedback to ensure you get the most out of your placement. Best of all, if you have delivered excellent performance during your placement you may be offered an opportunity on our Graduate Development Programme at the start of your final year; leaving you free to concentrate on achieving that all important grade.
