    Let me make it easier for you. You will join National Gas on an 48 month degree apprenticeship, completing 4 placements across our System Operators department, and 2 broadening placements giving you a well-rounded experience and skillset.

    The role

    The Degree apprenticeship you apply for is in System Capability & Risk, they are the hub for all things related to planning the energy networks of the future as well as dealing with the challenges of making sure energy gets to where it is needed, when it is needed. The team is responsible for ensuring that the GSO is compliant with it’s planning obligations and owns the development of our asset base working with colleagues from across the business. 

    Linking in with our Strategy & Regulation teams, the System Capability & Risk team is responsible for delivering and optimising the availability and performance of the network and it’s assets to ensure a secure energy supply to our customers. 

    This team is responsible for looking at future investment opportunities in the network and how these can be delivered both operationally and economically to ensure that the service we offer is the best it can be.  You’ll also get the opportunity to work with a number of external stakeholders that are influential in shaping the future of the energy industry in the UK.

    Your broadening placement could be anywhere in the business where you will gain a wider understanding of how we work operationally. This could be in Operations, Commercial, Procurement, Regulation, Assets and Technology.

    We welcome all graduates from diverse backgrounds, as we know diverse minds bring new ideas and a different way of thinking. There is a requirement to have STEM related A levels or HNC/HND in any field and you must bring an inquisitive mind, an ability to solve problems, good communication skills and a desire to work in a fast paced essential industry that will mean you can make a difference from day one.

     Whilst we offer hybrid working, this role is based in Warwick. Although a driving licence is mandatory for you to be successful in this role.
